1. Therefore I implore you, brothers, by God’s mercies, to present your bodies as a living, holy, acceptable sacrifice to God, your rational worship; 2. And do not be configured to this age, but be transformed by renewal of the intellect, so you may test the will of God, which is good and acceptable and perfect
Romans 12:1-2
The work is really an undoing. A letting go. A turning within. A collision with our shadows and ultimately our return to the foundation of all being, Christ in us.
The point of all spiritual work is Deification. Divine union. Where we say with the Apostle Paul, “Its no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me…”
Start with awakening. Which is simply becoming conscious of the present moment. Conscious of your thoughts, your emotions, your attitudes and your environment. You take on the role of observer. You’ll see, that you’re not your name. Not your thoughts. Not your body. Not your feelings. Not your possessions. Not your achievements.
NO! You are the life hid with Christ in God. The experiencer. The witness of it all.
Let thats sink in… your life. your being really is found in the seed of Christ. The resurection of Christ is the resurrection of your life.
So, now what?
Well, as the witness, we have the rest of our lives to unpack the mystery of “Christ in you”. The unfolding revelation that the very fountain of life dwells within you. That we are intimately, and inseparably connected to the source of ALL life and that the very essence of our being, is LOVE. Divine love!
So, when does the work start… ?
Once your are the witness, The work starts…The discovery of your true self, the awakening of your soul, the opening of your eyes, sets the stage for the integration of the shadow and the great surennder of identification with the world, to the point that we are completely absorbed into the mystical divine union.
“the truth will set you free”…
Christ Jesus
So we start by telling the truth. Don’t suppress. Don’t Deny. Don’t Deceive, Distort or Embellish. We witness what is.
